Globally, more and more companies are aligning themselves to the Paris Climate goals and are declaring their decarbonisation targets using various platforms. The regulatory disclosure mandates are also driving this change. Commitment to Net Zero targets and publishing the targets in platforms like Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi) is increasingly being adopted voluntarily by corporates globally. As of May 2022, more than 3000 companies have published their emission targets in the SBTi website. This includes more than 80 Indian companies.</p> <br /><p>In this session, we can focus on the role of solar in corporate decarbonisation programmes and the topics will include<ul> <li>The top 1000 companies by market capitalisation in India have to start reporting their sustainability performance in line with the Business Responsibility and Sustainability Reporting (BRSR) regulation by the SEBI from the year 2022-23.
