Housekeeping Notes: Slide Distribution, Coffee Break, Vehicle to Exit Grid Congestion Session, E-Award Ceremony and Summer Barbecue Information

The speaker begins by thanking attendees for joining the session and acknowledges the insightful presentations given during the event. They humorously exclude themselves from being among those intelligent presenters. Several housekeeping notes are shared: slides from today's presentations will be distributed via email within two weeks, and if not received, participants should contact conference organizers after this period. A short coffee break is scheduled next, followed by a session on “Vehicle to Exit Grid Congestion” running from 4:30 to 6:00 PM. Additionally, there’s an E-Award ceremony at 6:15 PM in Room One tonight. The summer barbecue will take place in the ICM garden later; however, attendees need additional tickets for entry to this event and are reminded to secure them beforehand. Finally, the speaker wishes everyone a good day before concluding their remarks.

Photovoltaic prices have fallen continuously in recent years - a trend that should translate into a growing market for off-grid solutions. Declining costs are crucial for rural electrification in particular, making sustainable energy supply economically viable in remote regions. However, so far many of these price advantages have not yet reached the people that need them most. Do existing framework conditions to foster rural electrification still work in this new market reality? Which measures are needed to ensure that cost reductions reach our target group? This session discusses strategies for improving the availability of low-cost off-grid solutions, financing and innovative business models. A look at successful practical examples shows which political, economic and technological levers need to be pulled to make off-grid PV accessible on a large scale.
