PV is developing very fast. Efficiency has been going up as cost have been going down. Many applications are now competitive with grid supply and other forms of electricity supply. While in the past, off-grid users strived to become connected to the grid, we are now seeing the opposite happening. There is a grey zone between on-grid and off-grid products, and they are becoming established. Electrification strategies and outlooks are being adapted, which reflects the potential of interconnected off-grid systems. In this session, examples of such products and systems will be presented along with innovative electrification approaches.
