Even though the commercial and industrial battery storage market has been the subject of discussion for many years, most use cases were not economically viable because of low energy prices and relatively high system costs. Value stacking - the combination of different use cases - has been the preferred way to finance battery storage systems. In 2022, the skyrocketing electricity prices changed all of this while hitting the manufacturing industry hard. In this session, we will be discussing the challenges of the new market environment and will be showing how battery storage combined with renewable energy generation can help minimize energy costs.
